The City of La Quinta, California and the Coachella Valley Economic Development’s efforts to promote and expand the area’s economy is working. Each year enormously popular annual art, music festivals, and sporting events draw hundreds of thousands of people, and generate local revenue in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
The premier luxury brand developers, Pendry and Montage International, are capitalizing on the growing international popularity of La Quinta, with two luxury hotels currently under construction at SilverRock. Eventually, resort residences, condos and more will be made available for lease and purchase.
Below are edited excerpts from the city of La Quinta’s website.
Montage and Pendry are international developers delivering luxury hospitality in premier destinations. For the first time, the Montage and Pendry brands are creating complementary offerings in the same community, including multiple hotels and a collection of branded residences. They are devoted to delivering an unforgettable guest experience, one that reflects not just their commitment to luxury hospitality, but also to the culture of each destination. Together, they’re building vibrant experiences that will reshape the Coachella Valley.
Grading for the hotels started June 2019. Vertical construction will start October 2019. Expectation is that the hotels will open 2 years from the start of construction (weather permitting) in 2021.
In conjunction with the development of two hotels, there will be a very limited offering of Montage and Pendry branded residences, including single-family homes, condominiums, and golf bungalows. The luxury residences will be made available for sale in phases beginning in 2019.
Yes. As part of the project zoning, owners will have the opportunity to place their residence in an optional short-term rental program.
SilverRock has an existing golf course that will remain open throughout construction. Future plans will allow access to tee times by Montage and Pendry guests and owners, along with La Quinta resident card holders and the general public. However, golf is just one amenity in this new community.
