Lucky Us! We Live in the Heart of the Desert’s Best Year-Round Entertainment

I’ve been writing a popular Coachella Valley Lifestyle and Entertainment Report for some time now, and with all the fun activities and shows happening right here at Trilogy and nearby, it is time I started writing about it.

While we all enjoy getting out for a fun night of entertainment, I think most of us can agree that it can be even better when we are doing it right here in our own backyard with our friends and neighbors.

I hope you find this Guide informative and entertaining. Most of all, I hope it adds to the enjoyment of living at Trilogy at La Quinta!

After four decades, Tom Jones still commands an audience of adoring and fervent fans and continues to be beloved by young and old alike. Some of his most popular songs like “What’s New Pussycat” and “She’s a Lady” are classics that transcend the generations.

Tom Jones’ career is simply remarkable in its breadth as well as longevity. He has written and performed songs in just about every music genre, from R&B to pop, show tunes, country, soul, and gospel. Throughout his career, he’s garnered many honors, including a Grammy, an MTV Video Music Award, Brit Awards, and he was Knighted by Queen Elizabeth II for Services to Music.

Palm Springs Air Museum – Annual Memorial Day Flower Drop & Air Fair

This is a very special day at the Palm Springs Air Museum. 10 a.m. – museum opens; Air Fair with flights all day long! Planes flying are: B-25 Pacific Princess; C-47; P-51 Mustang; P-63 King Cobra; T-28 and SPECIAL GUEST B-17 SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY. Rides for sale.

Enjoy kids’ activities and food vendors, including In-N-Out Burger, Freedom Fighters’ Café, and the Heatwave Jazz Band.

At 1:00 p.m., our brief Memorial service pays honor to our fallen heroes with a flower drop of 3,000 red and white carnations from a B-25 Mitchell bomber. Visitors are welcome to pick up a flower to take home. Special honoree — a 102-year-old B-17 Gunner.
